Grey Box Burl, also called Australian Grey Box burl, Gum-topped Box, Inland Grey Box, and Narrow-leaved Box, is from southeastern Australia. As the Latin name implies, the burls grow on trees in the Eucalyptus family. This is a unique species that are considered rare in the US market. It polishes beautifully and is highly valued for turning pens and making beautiful bowls, boxes, clocks, and knives.
This wood can be used for limitless projects and pieces. Southeastern Australia One of many Eucalyptus species, lumber is heavy, dense, and rot-resistant. Used for fence posts and bridge parts.
