Carbon fiber is a fairly generic term referring to thin strands of carbon being tightly woven then set in resin. This makes an incredibly strong yet lightweight. It’s really strong and durable in many applications, but it can also be brittle, depending on the
angle of stress. In addition to high tensile strength, Carbon Fiber has high chemical resistance, high temperature tolerance, and low weight. Carbon fiber's high strength to volume ratio allows for exceptional strength at very low weight when compared to metal
applications. On an aesthetic note, the way the carbon fibers reflect light, and how it’s woven, can create some nice shimmers and patterns.
