Unique Birdseye Maple- Acer Saccharum for Pool Cues
Birdseye Maple is a rare and sought-after type of wood that is prized for its unique pattern of swirling, circular grains. This natural pattern, which resembles a bird's eye, makes each piece of Birdseye Maple truly unique. No two pieces of this wood are exactly alike, which means that your pool cue will be as unique as you are. The light color of the wood also adds to its appeal, giving it a clean and classic look that is perfect for any setting.
The Strength and Durability of Acer Saccharum
Acer Saccharum, also known as Hard Maple, is a dense and durable hardwood that is ideal for use in pool cues. This wood is known for its strength and resistance to wear and tear, which makes it the perfect choice for a high-quality pool cue that will stand the test of time. Because Acer Saccharum is so dense, it also has excellent shock resistance, which means that it will help to reduce the amount of vibration that is felt when you strike the ball.
The Importance of High-Quality Wood in Pool Cues
Choosing the right wood for your pool cue is crucial to your performance on the table. High-quality wood not only looks great but also helps to improve your accuracy and control. A well-made pool cue made from Birdseye Maple and Acer Saccharum will have a solid and consistent feel, allowing you to make precise shots with ease. The superior craftsmanship that goes into making these cues also means that they are perfectly balanced, which further improves your game.
Material:
Birdseye Maple - Acer saccharum
Birds Eye forms around the log due to 'sleeping bud growth'; this shows as small dots in the wood. Other causes are: -Parasite fungi which cause irregularity in the cambium. Birdseye develops when the tree grows on barren and rocky ground. Birdseye Maple stains and polishes well but is intermediate in gluing. Blanks are cut to size before drying to eliminate movement afterward and then kiln-dried using a special method that ensures optimum color without compromising the structural integrity of the wood
