Raffir Stabilized Wood

Raffir Wood is completely penetrated with a specially developed acrylic-based compound of thermoset resin. The finished material maintains the unique grain patterns of the untreated wood while obtaining mechanical advantages from the homogeneous resin compound. Raffir Wood can be processed in various colors.

The Material has a high wear strength and can obtain a high gloss finish after polishing. It absorbs little water after treatment, meaning it will have very low swelling or shrinkage at different humidity and will NOT crack even under very dry conditions. The material has a smooth surface without porosities and needs no other finish than fine sanding and polishing.
