Katalox (Swartzia Cubenis) is an extremely dense, fine-grained hardwood from Central America with a dark purplish-brown to nearly black color. One of the heaviest commercial hardwoods available, Katalox is prized for its smooth, glass-like finish potential and dramatic color. Available in 18" and 24" lengths at 1.5"x1.5". An excellent choice for cue butts and forearm sections where a dark, dramatic wood is desired.
